Cutting it Close with Chloe Gallardo

Chloe Gallardo is ready to face her fears and anxieties in her newest song, “Cutting it Close.” Her third single released in the last year, “Cutting it Close” explores Gallardo’s internal struggle of self worth and not being good enough. The single was recorded in a make-shift garage studio with producer Noah Kurtz in Long Beach, California and features dreamy guitar lines behind Gallardo’s smooth and soft voice.

The release is coupled with a music video inspired by American filmmaker David Lynch. The eerie and intimate video shows Gallardo dancing and interacting with a homemade papier mache head. This head represents her innermost self-doubt and insecurities. At the end of the video, Gallardo puts the head to rest and shows she is accepting her inner struggles as well. The video was directed by David Stewart and edited by Abbey Reese with director of photography Ksusha Genenfeld.

“Cutting it Close” is now available to stream on all major platforms. Watch the music video on YouTube.
